Welcome from Eric Van Der Kleij, Chief Executive, Tech City Investment Organisation (TCIO)
Welcome to Tech City London, and the Entrepreneurs Festival.
We are very excited to be hosting London’s first ever Entrepreneurs Festival here in Tech City. We hope that this event will help you build on your business plans and connect you with the people and ideas that can help accelerate your success.
We’re joined by some of the best mentors and leading investors in the world – here to share their experience and insights with you. We also have some of the rising stars of the tech industry, sharing their own paths to success. At the TechWorld exhibition you’ll have the opportunity to put what you’ve learned into practice – connecting with international industry leaders and showcasing your business. And of course on Investor Day, you will get the opportunity to gain real pitching experience in front of investors to give you practical feedback, and maybe win the Entrepreneur of the Festival Award.
We end the week at Ravensbourne College when the Entrepreneurs Festival welcomes some of the stars of Silicon Valley, as part of Silicon Valley comes to the UK: a special Silicon Valley comes to Tech City event. It will be a day of debate, discussion and networking, focusing on the lessons learned from starting, running and scaling internet companies in Silicon Valley.
But it’s not all work! Tech City is one of the most vibrant city clusters in the world, with over 1000 restaurants, clubs, and bars, and many art galleries within walking distance, so please try to find the time to relax and enjoy the local area too.
We hope you enjoy the Festival – and that everything you learn here helps you build your companies into the tech successes of the future.
